Is Smoking Consistant With Our Lives as Muslims?
Smoking gives these Gifts to

You and to those close to you?
It’s astounding that with all the effort taken by health organizations the government and NGO’S to educate people on the dangers of smoking that many still insist on throwing this most precious gift called life away.
What's the problem and why are these organizations meeting with limited success?
Should all the blame be placed on those who market tobacco products?
Is our justification for smoking that although the marketers do not put a gun to our heads and force us to smoke; they all the same shoot advertisements in our minds?
As a Muslim, should not the desire for “Self Preservation” be stronger than “Self Termination”?
Where is the self imposed “Jihad and Boycott” when it comes to those things which cause our own destruction?
Isn’t it disingenuous for us to protest and boycott all other injustices and not do the same against the injustice that we commit against ourselves and others every time we smoke?
Leaving aside the economic cost due to higher health insurance, hospitalization, loss of income due to illness; what are the human cost?
Can one profess a love for Allah, for a spouse or children while voluntarily taking part in an activity that suggest otherwise?
Every time you inhale or take a tobacco product it equates to less quality time spent with those you care about due to...

In addition, now that we know the dangers of "Second hand smoke"; one's destructive activity not only harms one's self, but offers a greater chance for Others to Suffer the life threatening symptoms depicted as well!
Yes, I know the argument that you may have a relative or heard of someone that lived to a seemingly advanced age while still smoking heavily.
But just because one survives playing Russian Roulette; does that make it alright?
More importantly; as a Muslim, is this the type of activity we should be participating in?
If we proclaim that Islam cleans a person up physically and emotionally from harmful things like Alcohol, drugs, pork and tobacco; how can we as Muslims justify to ourselves and others the continued open and behind closed doors use of these items?
Would not the money spent on smoking and similar destructive behavior have a greater impact by contributing it to the wellbeing of your family first then to the Ummah and to the disenfranchised?
Which life changing decision will you choose between?
Here are your choices:
Smoking = Self Destructive Behavior, Health Risks Death and harm to others!

Quit Smoking = Better Health and Quality of Life!

How many more stories about friends and loved ones do You need to hear of suffering and dying before you realize “It’s time to Quit”!
