Cervical Cancer

Globally, this killer is diagnosed in over 500,000 women per year and is the leading cause of cancer related death among women behind breast cancer!



Dr. Nor Haslinda Mat Hasim highlighted the seriousness of the statistics by stating that every 2minutes a woman dies from this form of cancer.

Closer to home; it was learned that among Malaysians, Chinese women have the highest incidence of cervical cancer followed by Indians and Malays.

What are the reasons such a high rate of mortality among the precious jewels (mothers, sister and daughters)here and abroad?

Perhaps it is the lack of education or fear of knowing which keeps women from going for check ups.

What ever the case women have to take their health in to their hands and become more proactive about getting factual information and treatment, if necessary for this deadly disease.
